View/Edit toggle
As an editor, the first thing you’ll notice is a new way to open maps in a safe view-only mode where changes you make aren’t applied to everyone else’s view. Those with edit permissions can now toggle between view and edit modes of the map.
To switch into edit mode and make changes to the map, click
Edit map
on the top-right of the screen or use our keyboard shortcut SHIFT-E
. You can also right-click on a layer and select Edit
To exit edit mode click on the pink
Done

When in edit mode, you'll see our new edit toolbar jam-packed with all the features of Felt.
Data creation & annotation tools
All the tools you know and love! Create and manage spatial data easily using our Shape tools. Mark up the map and add additional context using elements.

Extract
Create administrative boundaries in seconds. Extract lets you cut out boundaries most relevant to your zoom level on the map. Extract country boundaries all the way down to building footprints for anywhere on the globe.

Library
Access free published Felt layers or connect directly to your database to browse through your data as a catalog of layers in Felt.
